Kim invites Trump to visit Pyongyang as North hails 'radical switchover'

US President Donald Trump and North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un sign documents after the summit meeting.

Mr Trump and Mr Kim reached a broad agreement that North Korea would move toward denuclearising the Korean peninsula, while the United States committed to providing security guarantees and suspending military exercises with long-time ally South Korea.

Kim Jong Un invited Trump to visit Pyongyang at a convenient time and Trump invited Kim Jong Un to visit the US.

The KCNA report also said Trump would lift sanctions against the North - a claim that contradicted comments from the president Tuesday that the measures would "come off when we are sure that the nukes are no longer a factor".

In addition to his one-on-one with Trump, Kim also impressed observers in "four-by-four" talks, enlisting former spy chief Kim Yong-chol, Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho and vice-chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea Ri Su-yong for discussions.

Melissa Hanham of the US-based Center for Nonproliferation Studies said on Twitter that North Korea had "already promised to do this many times", adding the two sides "still don't agree on what "denuclearization" means".

Trump, who starred on NBC's reality show "The Apprentice" before entering politics, told reporters he was "not concerned at all" that the film could be used as propaganda, adding, "We could use that video for other countries". The two leaders walked each other and shared a handshake with the flags of the two countries in the backdrop.

Sen. Lindsey Graham does not have an issue with halting joint military exercises between the USA and South Korea while discussions with North Korea continue. They discussed Singapore-North Korea relations and developments on the Korean peninsula amidst Kim thanking the Singaporean premier for hosting the summit.

It was not immediately clear what specific progress, if any, had been made in preliminary discussions between U.S. and North Korean officials.

Online Gambling in the USA: Progress or Stalemate?
With one major exception: online gambling, a global industry triggered by the innovative work of two Canadian youngsters. The current legal status of online casinos and poker rooms in the US is - for lack of a better word - controversial.

"I showed it because I really want him to do something", he said.

Trump agreed to end joint U.S.

When asked what he expected when he first visited North Korea, Rodman said he was surprised by how much he liked it.

"South Korea is a little confused".

The agreement provides very vague concepts for a new US-DPRK relationship - one that will without a doubt also change the nature of balance and geopolitics in East Asia and relationships with other regional actors such as South Korea, Russia, China and Japan.

"Well, he is very talented", Mr Trump said.

"I think he's going to do these things", Trump said.

The 33 photos seen in Wednesday's Rodong Sinmun were far less than the 50 featured in the Rodong the day after the April 27 inter-Korean summit but the April event had been a one-day trip for Kim Jong Un while Kim was in Singapore for three.

Kim's biggest task in the months ahead will most likely be to try to push China, his country's key trading partner, to lift its sanctions and to entice South Korea to start once again offering crucial investment in joint ventures and infrastructure projects.
