Why Ryan Reynolds won't put daughters into show business

Ryan Reynolds is back as Deadpool for the highly anticipated and extremely well-advertised sequel Deadpool 2, and it looks like the consensus is that it's a good movie.

As Deadpool 2 begins its worldwide rollout, Deadline is reporting that Fox's hotly-anticipated superhero sequel can expect to pull in a global opening weekend of between $305 million and $350 million.

Despite the fact that the film is an R-rated superhero film (M18 in Singapore), Reynolds says it is still very much a family film.

At one point, Deadpool, his voice dripping with sarcasm, refers to the character of Cable - a time-traveling, part-cyborg warrior from the future played by Josh Brolin - as "Thanos".

All in all, Deadpool 2 is bigger, bolder and certainly funnier than ever.

Oh well. Guess we all get to make up our own minds when we go and see it ourselves!

Deadpool 2 gets straight into the action in what feels like the first 20 seconds and after a breathtaking collage of what our wisecracking vigilante has been up to, it leads in to a credit sequence that is so clever you'll think you're genuinely watching another popular movie franchise. There are so many of them! You're one of my best friends - Blake, the fam, the whole thing.

Everton, Manchester United 'to subsidise Wayne Rooney's MLS move'
Widespread reports this lunchtime claim Rooney has agreed a deal in principle to swap Everton for DC United . Wayne Rooney's reportedly on the verge of a move to Major League Soccer side DC United .

So it is fair to say that Deadpool 2 is bolder than before.

No, the film's stars are still making the rounds this week to make sure everyone's pumped for Deadpool's next adventure, and that means at least a little more new footage to tide you over until the film's out. The whole X-Force subplot is super-hilarious.

"That's three balls to you my friend, it's called a tri-sticle!"

Yes, and they also write alternate lines.

Deadpool 2 is in theaters everywhere Friday. "No, no, no-huge asshole", Reynolds joked. Reynolds has harnessed his comical energies so freaking awesome, but it is the emotional beat to his performance that makes his character such a charmer.

"I elected to just continue to scar her", he joked. Julian Dennison, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna join the cast in undisclosed roles. But at the end of the day it's got to be an engrossing story and that's the thing that we were most focused on from the get-go. Fresh from the accusations of sexual harassment against him, TJ Miller as Wade's bestie Weasel is under-utilised (to avoid controversies), though he has some amusing lines. This may remind you of protests in 2016 by parents who brought their kids along to watch the first movie and complained that the film had violent as well as vulgar scenes.

Now let's talk about the movie getting bigger or not. But then again, Deadpool's always been a little rough around the edges, so perfection would have been misplaced.
