Weather Alert Day: High Winds and Snow Back Across Colorado

Much of next week's weather looks quite nice with a gradual warming trend through Wednesday. That wind will be diminishing as the evening wears on, but it will remain warm the entire time. This will allow skies to clear and dry weather to take hold.

Clearing should begin late evening or night with a sharp drop in temperatures by Sunday morning. Rain this morning with a few wet snow flakes mixing in with continued strong winds through the entire day. Some of the storms will produce heavy rain, leading to isolated flash flooding. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s. The storms will move northeast into IL overnight. We can not rule out an isolated tornado. Highs will be in the mid 60s. Breezy conditions dominate the drought-stricken Southwest, while snow is blanketing portions of the central Rockies and Intermountain West. Precipitation is also falling in the Pacific Northwest.

We will continue to monitor this system as it develops and bring you the latest on-air, online, and on our social media accounts. Dry and windy through the majority of your day today, but after 4pm I'm expecting snow to start falling especially through northern Teller county. Moisture will be increasing and the result will be mostly cloudy skies by Sunday.

Conor McGregor "gearing up to fight again" despite NY criminal charges

Managers at Kauffman Stadium say they are prepared in case severe weather strikes during the Royals' Friday night matchup with the Angels. That will make it feel a bit warmer this afternoon, even though highs will be a couple degrees higher than yesterday.

If you have outdoor plans Saturday it would be best to have an indoor alternative as storms are likely early followed by some showers through the afternoon. By lunchtime Saturday, however, we will be enjoying sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the 70s. Highs in the mid 60s.
