Unfortunately they were unable to snag a win and lost the fist game 7-4, and lost the second game 4-2. Both district losses came at the hands of the Brahmas.

"We've been building up to April and been talking about it this whole time", head coach Loren Torres said.

"It was a win that we needed". Corner pitcher Ivey Hill launched a two-out double to left field and would've scored on the next at-bat if not for a nice play by Abigail Waters in deep-right field. "We're getting young kids to step up, so we feel pretty good".

The Sparrows Point softball team was five outs away from sweeping arguably three of the best teams in Baltimore County when the weather turned against the Pointers. Madonna hit a solo home run to cut the deficit to 3-2 in the 7th inning, but Cornerstone escaped with the win, stranding two crusaders on base to end the game. A game against De Queen will be made up April 18.

Caroline Chivily '19 got things started for Hamilton with a two-out single to left field in the bottom of the third.

The bats were swinging and connecting in a way they haven't thus far this season for the Princeton baseball team against St. Bede on Tuesday. "If you're going to win, you've got to hit the ball, that's for sure".

Sophomore Hayley Clark added two RBIs.

South Caldwell took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

"It's a quick start to (the MEC), and we're excited to be in a conference", Bruce Stanley said. "We got like four doubles in a row or something like that, and once you do that, the pressure is off". Lukasheay (2-for-3) Vrazel and Garrett Williams each went 1-for-3 at the plate. JT Eggert (4-1) was the victor as he struck out seven in four innings of work. With two outs, Austin Knower singled and stole second base. He allowed five runs on eight hits and struck out nine.
