Snow in the Forecast, Little Accumulation Expected

Snow in the Forecast, Little Accumulation Expected

A system should just miss us to the south, sparing us from more April snow. The light snow looks to linger into Monday morning, then a scattered rain/snow mix is possible for the rest of the day. The GFS model is showing a rapid move southward, with rain changing to wet snow even for Richmond and eventually southeastern Virginia.

With the front approaching from the west, that means temperatures will not drop very much. Temperatures slowly warm back into the 50's by the end of the week. At 7 a.m., temperatures will linger around freezing and will only climb to the low 40s by 10 a.m. "But if you're looking for warmth, forget about it". Sunday night's low will be 29. Little to no accumulation is expected out of this, with any snow that does stick expected to stay under an inch.

So close yet so far for Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons
They aren’t elite by any stretch of the imagination but Quinn’s “Legion of Boom” mentality is paying off. Matt Ryan defied the odds to lead the Falcons to the brink of victory before coming up short in the closing stages of the game.

A cold front will move across western Kansas on Friday. But clearly it's the South Island most exposed to the cold snap with snow on the ranges and some alpine passes and only mid single digit highs for some towns. Saturday has a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon, followed by partly sunny skies. "More moderate snow looks to fall in NE Nebraska where there could be 1-2" on the ground before this system pulls away. Highs by this afternoon will only reach into the upper 30s and lower 40s. Sunday will bring another dry, cool day. The service also issued, flooding, fog, and a chance of snow warning. It could be, as there are some signs of some much warmer weather lurking for later next week and into the following weekend. We'll take anything we can get this time of year! Rain after 11am will turn to a wintry mix in the early afternoon and snow after 2pm through the overnight hours. Increasing clouds, with a high near 61.

Have a great night!
