A Warm Wave for Spring Break — FIRST ALERT WEATHER

With the added moisture from the rain and melting snow, watch for areas of fog overnight and Tuesday morning. Those rain showers will continue Tuesday night and Wednesday morning with Wednesday generally appearing like a gloomy day. Forecast lows are in the 50s with highs in the lower 80s. As a cold front sweeps any rain and most of the clouds offshore later Friday, that's our better chance for more appreciable sunshine and therefore probably our better chance for some 60 degree temperatures as well, for the first time since March 1st. Becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. It will be another bright, sunny day with light winds and dry weather.

Rain is likely for the lower half of the North Island on Saturday night. There is also a low risk of snow in the south on Wednesday as a weather system moves eastwards across northern France - this is a much more marginal situation than those earlier this month and would need a variety of factors to come together. SE winds 5-20 miles per hour. High temps will only reach the low 40s on Thursday and linger around 40 on Friday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day on Wednesday.

Rainfall totals on Wednesday will probably end up in the tenth-of-an-inch to quarter-of-an-inch range. West winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Tomorrow night: Decreasing clouds, colder. Northwest winds 10 to 15 miles per hour. Sunday: Cloud and sun, high in the low 20s. West/northwest winds 10 to 15 miles per hour. Stray showers will pop up overnight. West winds 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Or is the beast from the East ready to bite one more time? Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West/northwest winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.
