Channing Frye Warns Future Cavs In Priceless Farewell Message To Fans

Just before the National Basketball Association trade deadline, the Lakers acquired Thomas, Channing Frye and a 2018 first-round pick from Cleveland in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

Cleveland also sent their first-round pick and Channing Frye to the Lakers in the deal, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

I, for one, am very pleased the Lakers are leaning towards staying pat at the trade deadline. Thomas has been underachieving in the city and he has not been the same player since the hip injury.

Nance Jr., son of Cleveland Cavaliers legend Larry Nance, is averaging 8.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in 22.0 minutes per game. He has a big decision to make in the offseason and has been suspected to join [VIDEO]a couple of teams.

There was word recently that the Cavs had wanted to move Thomas.

Johnson was part of the Cavaliers three-team mega deal that involved them, the Jazz and the Kings.

Nunes: Democrats 'not honest actors,' memo shows FBI/DOJ 'have work to do'
Comey called the memo "dishonest and misleading" and not worth the damage it's done to public trust in US intelligence agencies. According to the memo, the application also included "Steele's past record of credible reporting on other unrelated matters".

Another team - who has no reported interest - but would be a good fit for Iso Joe is the Sixers. He'll likely work with Kyle Kuzma on his perimeter game as a stretch four, as Frye will be more of a coach on the floor than a contributor the rest of this year.

Maybe by trading Thomas, if he is the cause, the dissension will dissipate.

- Zach Fleer (@ZachFleer270) February 8, 2018The #Cavs traded Kyrie Irving for the second-best Larry Nance ever to play in the National Basketball Association and Jordan Clarkson.

Thomas will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and it will be interesting to see how much money he commands and where he ends up.

"Whether I am in the gym all night or whether I am on my knees begging and pleading not to get traded, whether if I was begging to get traded, what is going to happen is going to happen", Nance added. It would have been unlikely that a team looking to shed salary would take on salary in Asik or Ajinca. Honestly, Cavs just won with that trade. Lonzo should be back after the All-Star break and the team is learning to win without him. The Cavaliers never gave Thomas a real chance to bounce back from his injury, and if he would have been able to turn it around, then the Cavaliers would be immediate favourites in the East. The trade helps them clear up salary cap space. They should keep their core, let the free agents walk and sign just one superstar if they can. If they are going to do that, they will not want to pay Thomas like he wants.
