DC Comics Fans React To 'Black Panther' Reactions

From the music to the visuals to the actors bringing these Marvel characters to life, the Black Panther stans have been ready to pounce. However, Civil War hit theaters in May while Black Panther gets an early start to the summer movie season in February - though it does fall neatly on the four-day President's Day holiday.

The film was met with a flood of overwhelmingly positive reviews which praised the film's diverse cast for what could be one of the best Marvel movies to date just before the studio released the first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

There's lots of hyperbole in there - as ever - but without the usual "it's good BUT." comments, it genuinely does like Black Panther is a big victor.

On Monday, Black Panther had its official premiere, leading to the first reactions from critics.

There were little concerns to begin with but it should still ease fans that director Ryan Coogler has done a marvelous job.

The 55-year-old actor starred as the titular half-human, half-vampire blood sucker hunter in the 1998, 2002 and 2004 action movies based on the Marvel Comics character, but the third film was left with an open ending. ET's Nischelle Turner caught up with Jordan on the red carpet and had to ask him what he meant when he told WSJ Magazine that he was "technically single".

While speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live ahead of the world premiere of Black Panther, Boseman revealed that he did not keep a version of the suit from the set of the movie. It stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue and more.

Joining the fun were Atlanta R&B singer Usher, rapper Snoop Dogg, Jessica and David Oyelowo (who portrayed the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta-filmed, Oscar-nominated "Selma"), Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon (up for a best screenplay Oscar for "The Big Sick"). Black Panther arrives in theatres on Feb 16th.

Other looks that absolutely slayed us were Angela Bassett's gold fringed jumpsuit and Issa Rae's colourful concertina skirt.

And can we just talk about the women involved in this production for a second?

Spurs star Kane denies Newport in FA Cup
Nonetheless, the Spurs are still alive in the FA Cup and have a tough match with Juventus for a Champions League last 16 clash. If we spent this week just looking at them and all that we'll be up against we'd probably be a goal down going out there.
