OnePlus 5T: Specs, price, where and how to buy

The OnePlus 5T, apart from the screen, is mostly identical to the OnePlus 5. The new smartphone is going after the number one spot, so we chose to compare it to the Android king, the Samsung Galaxy Note8. That's great news for people looking to buy the handset, but it might be a bitter disappointment to those who bought its predecessor just a couple of months ago. In fact, wireless charging has come to be a standard in all top-tier smartphones, but the OnePlus 5T misses out if one goes on to list the features on both phones and compare them. As you can imagine, we didn't get enough time with the device yet to test the battery life. However, OP5T will be getting the open beta until late December. We will, however, describe some highlighted features. Unlike the OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5T has a different shape than the 5 where it has an elongated shape moving closer to the shape of premium phones likes iPhone X, Google Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy S8. It's a tad bit bigger though.

On the contrary, the OnePlus 5T definitely looks like a high-end flagship smartphone.

The OnePlus 5T marks the introduction of a 6-inch "Full Optic AMOLED Display" with an 18:9 aspect ratio to deliver a more immersive viewing experience.

He added, "We all know how hard it is to get the screen right". It relies simply on the front cam for this feature. However, we found the primary camera to focus as fast as the OnePlus 5. One of the not-so-pleasant surprises was the OnePlus 5. There's not much you can complain here.

The display is where the biggest change lies in the OnePlus 5T.

It has been 'enabled by TrueDepth camera for facial recognition, ' the company said. However, the Note8 offers users the possibility to expand the storage of the handset by up to 256GB, a feature the OnePlus 5T doesn't offer. There will also be dual apps mode and a stable camera with the future OTA updates. There's a 16-megapixel main camera with an aperture of f/1.7 as before, but the secondary camera is now a 20-megapixel unit with the same aperture and focal length. The Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based smartphone has a Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB). As for the final OTA version of Android 8.0 Oreo, OnePlus says the version will be arriving in "early 2018" without mentioning the exact date. A fast and immediate iteration replacing the just-released OnePlus 5, the new smartphone boasts of a couple of reasons why it should be in your shopping cart this season.

Last but not least the pricing. For OnePlus - a brand which survives on the idea of bringing the very best in terms of hardware to the market at a competitive price - not being able to flaunt a Full HD + bezel-less panel on its 2017 flagship was starting to become detrimental to its sales. The 6GB/64GB variant has a price tag of Rs 32,999, and the 8GB/128GB variant has a price tag of Rs 37,999.
