Darren Aronofsky's Mother! Joins the Ranks of F-Grade Cinemascore Films

The studio behind Darren Aronofsky's new film 'Mother!' have responded to the movie receiving the lowest possible audience rating. Aronofsky said he wanted to build on the idea that while we may ignore what's happening on the other side of the world, we all can identify with the discomfort of someone invading our home and privacy.

The film, which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, is nearly entirely allegorical in nature, and many people have been coming away from the movie with divergent takes on what it all means.

During a recent interview, Lawrence said, "Not at all".

As time goes on, Lawrence's character starts to become suspicious of the man and his odd family, and also of her own husband.

Mother is the latest work from Aronofsky to delve into the darkness of human nature, following a storied career that has included Pi, Requiem for a Dream and Oscar-winner Black Swan.

With that in mind, and including his newest movie in the mix, it's time to make some sort of sense of the fascinating filmmaker's output so far.

Jennifer Lawrence, 27, looked radiant and confident when we talked to her in Toronto for her controversial psychological horror film, "Mother!".

Incomes up, poverty down
The median annual income for those living in the South was $51,174 in 2015, a 2.9 percent increase from 2014. What really matters for Americans is that incomes aren't only going up, they're also outpacing inflation.

It's heartbreaking for my pals at Paramount who did everything they could to market this movie. "'No, I don't know who those people are. When I was 21 or 22 I was like, 'I can't wait to be a mother.' Now I'm like...[shocked face]".

In comparison, fellow horror IT, took $123 million in its opening weekend last week.

"I think I knew it was going to be a lot of stuff", he told Entertainment Weekly of the extreme reactions to the film.

But also I get time off from it.

Speaking to host Savannah Guthrie, Jennifer said: 'I don't have anything set for two years'. We don't want all movies to be safe.

Asked about the most hard shot she did and Matthew's long relationship with Darren, Jennifer replied, "The most hard we were doing was probably all the running up and down the stairs because everything was hand held".
