Multiple People Shot in Del Ray Section of Alexandria

The shooter, a 66-year-old IL native named James T. Hodgkinson has died from his injuries, according to President Donald Trump.

In all, according to local police, five people were taken to the hospital after the shooting, including Hodgkinson.

Later, House Republican and Democratic leaders called for unity and praised the police, while Trump in an address from the White House said that the prayers of the nation and world are with Scalise.
