Assassin's Creed: Origins Gameplay Trailer Has Been Revealed at E3 2017

You'll play Ba Yek, an Egyption sheriff, fighting the dark forces in a refreshed Assassin's Creed.

A few days ago there was a leaked image of the card pre-order Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Assassin's Creed: Origins is scheduled to release in October 27, 2017 on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC.

As expected, the next Assassin's Creed title takes place in Ancient Egypt and is called Assassin's Creed Origins. And here's where we see a new wrinkle in the gameplay. Ubisoft stated that they have introduced some new gameplay aspects, and more detail to the game than ever before as well.

For the last four years, the team behind the acclaimed Assassin's Creed® IV Black Flag® has been focused on crafting a new beginning for the franchise.

In the meantime, Ubisoft previously hinted that the new Assassin's Creed franchise will be optimized for Xbox Scorpio, a powerful gaming console of Microsoft set for release in 2018. Bayek can also level up, adding even more of an RPG flair to the game.

Despite Ubisoft having released some additional lengthy walkthroughs and behind the scenes trailers for the game, there's still quite a bit we don't know.

The debut trailer also showed a giant Hydra-like creature, so it seems like murdering massive beasts may be a theme in Origins. Instead of the towers that previous "Assassin's Creed" games have used, the character will have to use a hawk that is able to spy and get the geography and layout of the land. Players can expect to navigate the waters with their ship, uncover lost tombs, explore the Great Pyramids, and learn about mummies, the gods, and the lost pharaohs.

As for the combat, it has evolved and it now looks more like "The Witcher 3" and "Dark Souls".
