LeBron James blows away Toronto as Cleveland advance in National Basketball Association playoffs

However, Lowry heads into the offseason with the bitter taste of falling short yet again in the playoffs to the Cavaliers in disappointing fashion in a clean sweep in the Eastern Conference semifinals, marking six consecutive postseason losses to Cleveland dating back to previous year.

The Raptors were playing without point guard Kyle Lowry, who suffered a sprained left ankle in Game 2 on Wednesday. The defending champions haven't lost a post-season game since falling behind Golden State 3-1.

There was a glimmer of hope after the first quarter, with the two teams tied 28-28. Expect Cory Joseph to get another start should Lowry ultimately be unable to play. James got loose for 35 points but Tucker made him scratch and claw for each of them in a performance that will stand the free agent in good stead, not only with the Raptors but with any team looking for a veteran, tough wing. Led by four from Irving and two from reserve point guard Deron Williams, the Cavaliers collected eight steals over the first 24 minutes of play.

Down by as many as 16 points Sunday, Toronto scrapped and clawed its way back to take a one-point lead with about six minutes left.

The Cavaliers had a 12-point lead after the first half and entered the fourth quarter ahead by five.

And all along the way some of the best basketball players of their era presumably, at some point, realized that for all the dreams their gifts and effort made reality, the one of them hugging the trophy at the end wasn't going to be one of them. Trevor Ariza had 16 points for his second straight game with double figures.

While questions arose about the Cavaliers after their poor second half of the regular season, this team is clearly a top contender for the National Basketball Association title.

Eagles draft injured Washington cornerback Sidney Jones
If Jones can return to 100 percent health. "But I think mentally that's where I separate a little bit, like preparing for a game". In a few weeks the Eagles will actually be doing football work at the NovaCare Complex - not just stretching and sprinting.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love scored 16 points apiece, while Kyle Korver added 14 points off the bench for Cleveland.

The Raptors take on the Cavs in a must-win Game 4 at Air Canada Centre on Sunday afternoon after losing their first three games against Cleveland by an average of nearly 15 points. Tucker three with 0.8 seconds to go cut the Cavs' lead to 85-80 after three. Korver's career high for points in a quarter is 17.

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors 109-102 on Sunday. He's a liability on the free throw line and he can't stretch the floor, but he is still a vital part of their team.

The Cavaliers next take on the victor of the series between East top seeds Boston Celtics and No. 4 Washington Wizards. In Game 2, LeBron spun the ball a few times before hitting a three-pointer over Serge Ibaka. He finished with 27 points, 9 assists, and 4 steals. He cracked double figures in assists in each of the first two games against Toronto, essentially switching roles with LeBron, who became a more aggressive scorer.

Cleveland missed nine of its first 12 field-goal attempts, including four straight 3-point shots, and trailed 26-15 with 2:38 left in the first, but Toronto couldn't hold its lead. The Cavs allowed 107.2 points per game in the regular season, ranking 20th in the league. DeMar DeRozan had 22 points and eight assists despite taking an Iman Shumpert knee to the groin in the second quarter. Porter had 18 points. Channing Frye added 10 points.

The Wizards outrebounded the Celtics 45-31 and scored 56 points in the paint.

The one player who was going to have an impact regardless of the situation, regardless of the score. In the third quarter of that game, LeBron grabbed a beer and pretended to take a swig after a foul call. He was swept twice by Larry Bird's Boston Celtics.
