Tip-in by Ryan lifts Senators over Bruins 4-3 in overtime

Capitalizing on those moments, though, is half of the game of hockey.

Enjoy the postseason atmosphere, Bruins fans, the Stanley Cup playoffs finally return to Boston! For my money he has been the Senators' most consistent and best, forward (with all due respect to Ryan, who has also stepped his game up, last night's lowlight aside).

"We were allowed to play in the second and third, we were a better team, " Pastrnak said. The Senators should have put it away long before it got to that stage, but neither team could get the victor in the third so they were forced to do the extra work for the second straight game to determine which team would take advantage in the series. "There's a balance we can and that's when we're at our best".

Mark Stone and Kyle Turris have nearly hurt more than they've helped, though. "I've played a long time and this is my first overtime victor and it feels great". The NHL Playoff Odds for the game have the Bruins favored comfortably to pick up the win. "Obviously, we're going to look at some video and talk about it". They're not going to give up.

The Bruins lost one of their regular defensemen in each of the past four games, two at the end of the regular season and two more in the playoffs.

"They've been doing a heck of a job with the injuries they have". They only managed to record three shots on goal in the first period on Monday night. "We haven't been practicing, we've been kind of easing up and we thought we'd switch it up, get a little bit of a sweat, a little bit of a tune-up on some systems stuff, nothing too insane".

"There's just a few minor things". "And we're looking for more of that next game".

The Bruins can get away with Chara and Miller anchoring pairings on regular PK shifts, though they shouldn't bank on it. "But how it will affect us going forward, I guess we'll see [Wednesday]". However, the Capitals got the early jump as they scored twice in the first five minutes with both goals coming from their top line of Ovechkin, Backstrom and T.J. Oshie. We were 20 minutes away from being up 2-0.

"It feels incredible and we took home-ice back and that's what's important", Ryan said.

Serge Ibaka (ankle) misses Raptors' practice, should be fine for Tuesday
Chyna Thomas, 22, died in a vehicle accident early Saturday, casting doubt on whether Thomas would ultimate play in the opener. The Bucks go into Game 2 on Tuesday night knowing they can do no worse than a split before the series returns to Milwaukee .

The Senators haven't done things the easy way this season, so why would they start now. "We seem to thrive on the road". I have no skin in this game at all.

Clarke MacArthur, Chris Wideman and Derick Brassard also scored for Ottawa.

It was the second straight overtime game of the series, and second consecutive win for the Senators following their 4-3 victory in Game 2.

"It was loud when I went off the ice (Monday) and that's great for hockey and I love that", he said. After the win Saturday, Boucher indicated that Borowiecki could have returned to the game, but was kept out.

"Reinforce the stuff we did well", he said.

"It was tough. You've got to stay postive as much as you can", Hoffman said.

"It wasn't hard to go up, was it?" he responded with typical candour following his big game on Monday.

"But (Marc Methot) is one of those guys".

And speaking of looming upsets, the Nashville Predators now have a three games to none lead over a team that was supposed to handle them fairly easily in round one, the Chicago Blackhawks. "We're blessed right now everybody is healthy".
