Huawei Details Emotion UI 5.1 Improvements, Exclusive to P10 and P10 Plus

Huawei has just launched its next flagship handset in the form of the Huawei P10, but is it that much of an improvement on last year's phone?

"Our impressive new Huawei P10 and P10 Plus weave together the exceptional imaging capabilities of Leica and our stand-out design and hardware innovations to bring users a powerful device experience", Yu added. The Huawei P10 has a 5.1 inch IPS-NEO LCD display and 1920 x 1080 px resolution.

Pricing wise, in Europe the P10 starts at €649, while the P10 Plus starts at €699. The P10 Plus comes in 4GB or 6GB RAM options.

Huawei's association with Leica extends beyond the rear camera this time, as even the front camera comes with a Leica-certified lens with f/1.9 aperture. Both the devices feature Leica Dual-Camera 2.0, 20MP monochrome & 12MP RGB at the rear, P10 with an aperture of F/2.2 and P10 Plus with an aperture of F/1.8.

But regardless of what color version you end up with, the phone is indeed something to put on your shortlist, if you're in the market for a brand new high-end Android. There's also a Ceramic White version of the Huawei P10.

But at this point, this is the phone format we want, and the kind of device we're familiar with.

Cloudflare data leak exposes private Uber, OKCupid user data
Tavis Ormandy, the Google engineer who noticed the bug claims that he was working on a project when he noticed unexpected data. The leakage was most significant between February 13 - 18, just after Cloudflare rolled out a software update.

The latest leaks is courtesy a website called Soumi Mobiili which has shared the renders of the Huawei P10 donning multiple hues. This particular variant will only be available in Dazzling Blue and Dazzling Gold variants.

Like the LG G6 and the new Sony Xperia line up - also unveiled at Mobile World Congress - the Huawei P10 now includes Gorilla Glass 5, so the phone should survive most drops from up to 1.6 metres. I would describe it as polarizing, with my opinion being in the camp that hates it. This will be used instead of a physical home button or key. Low light performance seems better.

More importantly, the new features has been created to learn from user's habits and will speed up app launching and resuming by keeping only those important apps in the RAM, GSMArena reports. Provided it works as advertised, of course!

What's particularly exciting is the use of machine learning algorithms to efficiently manage your app usage. The new Leica Dual Camera 2.0 uses precise 3D facial detection, dynamic illumination, and natural portrait enhancements to produce stunning artistic portrait shots in Leica image style. And Huawei's phones apparently get better and better with each new generation of P phones. Huawei is working to make everything as modular as possible so that it can turn around Android updates faster.

The biggest change is the fingerprint scanner, which was on the rear of the Huawei P9, but has moved around to the front of the P10.

Huawei, the world's third-largest phone maker after Apple and Samsung, is seen by industry analysts as having the best hope among rival Android smartphone makers of capitalising on Samsung's woes.
