Look no further than the Seattle Seahawks for Super Bowl glory

In recent years, the Seattle Seahawks have been one of the strongest and most consistent franchises in the National Football League. Pete Carroll’s side have reached the divisional playoffs in five of the last six years, going all the way to the Super Bowl twice during that span.

With Russell Wilson at quarterback, anything is possible. Since selecting Wilson in the third round of the NFL Draft back in 2012, Seattle have moulded their entire scheme to suit their quarterback’s extensive skillset.

While Wilson probably isn’t going to break passing records on a weekly basis, his ability to keep plays alive in the running game helps to move the chains and keep Seattle’s offense on the field.

You only need to look at Wilson’s stat line to see just how effective he is at the quarterback position. This year, he has completed 67% of his throws, making 10 touchdown passes and just two interceptions; an excellent ratio to say the least.

If he continues in the same vein throughout the remainder of the campaign, the Seahawks will be in business – and it is hard to envision an NFC Championship game without the Legion of Boom.

Seattle’s road victory over the well-fancied New England Patriots showed us that Carroll’s men are ready for the playoffs once again. For some reason, the Seahawks always seem to come alive in the second half of the campaign and plenty of punters will fancy Seattle for Super Bowl glory in February’s showpiece event.

In the build-up to the playoffs, you can get the latest news and tips via Betting Sports – and the Seahawks are sure to feature prominently towards the end of the year.

The defensive unit, famously labelled as the ‘Legion of Boom’, are still regarded as one of the NFL’s elite groups. With Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor patrolling in the secondary, Seattle have three aggressive, ball-hawking options and all three are capable of making game-winning plays if needs be.

Defensive stability has been a huge reason for Seattle’s success in recent years and they aren’t about to sway from their tried and tested method; after all, defence wins championships.

Seattle aren’t a shoo-in for the Vince Lombardi Trophy but they will certainly be there or thereabouts and home advantage could prove crucial. With Dallas in control of the NFC, the Seahawks may have to overthrow Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott in order to reach the main event in Houston.

Only time will tell but Seattle look well placed to challenge for the NFL crown once again and it would take a brave man to back against Pete Carroll’s side on current form. Write the Seahawks off at your peril...
