Tony Romo Throws At Practice For First Time Since Injury

Tony Romo was back on the Cowboys practice field Wednesday for the first time since suffering a compression fracture in his back in a preseason game in late August.

It's been almost nine weeks since Romo suffered a compression fracture of the L1 vertebrae in his back on the Cowboys' first drive of the third preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. He returned to the game and finished with 107 yards on 16 carries.

He is throwing, but he has yet to begin practicing. "It's cool to see another young guy like him that I've come to know and to see the success he's having". I can all but promise you there won't be another 6-6 tie like we saw last Sunday night between Seattle and Arizona.

Romo was originally scheduled to return against the Eagles this week, but the way Prescott is producing, the Cowboys may just be giving Romo more time to heal (and delaying any possible quarterback decision).

If the Birds hadn't been able to trade up to the second pick, which they used to select Carson Wentz, Prescott at least was on their radar.

Anderson is seeking a second opinion on his injured right knee 48 hours after his best performance of the season sparked Denver's 27-9 win over the Houston Texans. "We just focus on now". Heading into Week 7, three teams were in action and they all had a chance to exit the week with a winning record. "He had the opportunity and he's doing a real good job leading that team". We have faith in our guys.

No More Nintendo Switch Details This Year, Creator Confirmed
Not all Nintendo fans realize that the Nintendo Switch , formerly known as Nintendo NX is not going to be released this year. This hints at the fact that this could be an upgraded port of Mario Kart 8, or a new game entirely.

I mean, even Jerry Jones has made a statement regarding the quarterback situation by saying "Tony is our number one quarterback", according to ESPN's Todd Archer. The cost of moving Tony Romo this season is extremely significant. And when we're in the right place, get the ball carrier down. "The main thing is, it can't affect any of the relationships in the building".

"Their run game is similar to Washington's concept-wise", safety Malcolm Jenkins said. So when Wentz connects with Darren Sproles five or six yards behind the line of scrimmage and Sproles ends up with a big gain, most of the credit there is given to Sproles and the offensive line, not Wentz. The lone game of the season where he had fewer than 100 yards rushing. He hasn't even thrown for 180 yards in either of his last two games, and things don't get much easier against Dallas. In addition, Dak Prescott is a mobile threat. They've given up 1,597 passing yards, which ranks 13th in the league. He has seven touchdowns to just one interception.

So the die is cast and the quarterbacks are with their respective teams and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon - until maybe Romo is healthy again, then Prescott heads to the bench to wait his turn again. On the other hand the Cowboys are 14th in red zone defense, allowing touchdowns 52% of the time. But they are effective against the run.

The Eagles obviously went in a different direction, as they aggressively moved up to No. 2 overall in April's draft to take Wentz.

PASS DEFENSE: B - The Cowboys still leave a lot to be desired in sacking the quarterback with just 11 on the season.

"I don't really think too much of it or make it a big deal out of the opponent or who I'm playing if it's another rookie or not", Prescott said. Cornerback Morris Claiborne has been the best defensive player and has played at Pro Bowl level.

Morris Claiborne leads an improved Cowboys secondary, and Dallas hasn't surrendered more than 20 points in any of their three home games. Lucky Whitehead has yet to be dynamic on returns.
